This week was the unofficial slowest week of the sports calendar. With the MLB All-Star break going on, it makes for some pretty uneventful days. Luckily Brett Favre found a way to get into the headlines on Wednesday.
Since I’ll pass on another blog about Favre, what better way to pass the week then to show off my new puppy. Everybody, meet my new golden retriever Napa. She got the name off of my wife and I’s trip to San Francisco and wine country last year.
The day we picked her up was highly anticipated. You can check out an older blog of mine talking about that. But it was great for that day to finally arrive.
Napa had a great 4th of July weekend. We went up north for some rest and relaxation which included her first ever boat ride along with a little jump in the lake we were by. There was also lots of room to run around and play…and dig.
Isn’t she just adorable? Napa also already knows how to ’sit’, ‘lay’, ’shake’, and ‘roll-over’. Puppy kindergarten starts next week so hopefully we’ll have more tricks and commands learned in these next 6 weeks. I really hope she learns ’stop chewing on my ankle’.
It’s crazy already looking back on our pictures from our first day and seeing how big she is already getting. Hope the time you spent watching Napa grow these past few weeks makes up for the quiet sports week. Talk to you later.
