The Packers pretty much had to sign Aaron Rodgers to a long-term deal. After the Summer the organization had with Brett Favre a long drawn out contract negotiation with Rodgers is the last thing Green Bay needed. Statistically Rodgers has been solid thru 7 games and that pretty much forced the Packers hand in to doing something. However the main stat to look at is 4-3. That is Green Bays record at the time of A-Rodg’s extension. Is that good enough for a long term commitment? I personally am a Rodgers fan and think this is a good move, but it is definitely debatable. What do you think of the move?

The Roger’s move is good strategic move for the long term. As a tactic for this season, potentially getting to a superbowl playoff berth, packer senior management scores a grade of “F” with to many changes of players and not accounting for injuriy potentials. Thompson needs to find another career, and not with the packers.
